Hey There,

I'm John

Thanks so much for stopping by.   I love the magic of photography. I started with developing my own 35mm film and watching my photographs appear on paper in the darkroom.   While studying for my photography degree in the U.K I was drawn to the legendary "candid" photographers.    I really enjoy the act of photographing someone when they have no clue, when they are being themselves. It's beautiful and meaningful.

Wedding

I have been a photographer in the Margaret River area for over 15 years.

My journey started while studying fine art in the U.K in an old gothic building where Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstien.    I tried photography and fell in love with the freedom and creativity it allowed.    Eventually, friends started to get married. They didn't want to book a typical wedding photographer.   

They wanted to live their day and the photographer make it look amazing.
