Australian elopement law you must know

Before you can have your elopement wedding ceremony you must lodge your notification of marriage one calendar month prior to your preferred elopement date.

Eloping is cheaper than weddings

Elopements are a lot cheaper than a traditional larger style wedding. It may be that you would rather spend your savings on an epic honeymoon instead.

There are still some things you still need to splash the cash on like rings, dress, photography etc but it works out to be a fraction of the cost.

Elopements are easy and simple to organise

You do not have to spend a year on Google, Pinterest and Instagram stalking wedding suppliers and choosing each part of your wedding.

Elopement Packages

My elopement packages contain awesome celebrants, florists, restaurants, elopement friendly venues, accommodation, transport, private chefs etc.

Get in touch

This can be a one stop shop if you like where you simply hire a team that will band together and take care of everything for you.Elopement ceremonies are fifteen minutes long on average.

Ceremonies are usually fifteen minutes long

Your elopement ceremony service will last between 10 and fifteen minutes. Closer to fifteen with personalised vowels.

Elope and have photos together in two hours

I advise my couples that a two hour booking is ample for elopement ceremonies and photos after. I tend to arrive fifteen minutes prior to the ceremony to advise the celebrant where the best is for photos. Taking into consideration the lighting and backdrop, as well as easy access for the couple.

After the ceremony it’s nice to celebrate with bubbles while I can capture some nice relaxed happy moments between the couple and any guests attending.

Then we go off for some photos at the location, this is incredibly relaxed and lots of fun. It’s essentially a couple shoot with a really excited and emotional couple that are stoked to have tied the knot.

We can go to other locations if I feel it will be beneficial to the photos, usually somewhere close by that will add contrast to the first location.

Style your elopement however you want.

You can elope whenever and wherever you want. So, if you have a favourite beach or you love the idea of getting married in an ancient beautiful forest, let’s do it!

You can also include as much or as little as you want. if you fancy photos with a vintage kombi van I can recommend a company for you that can drive you.

Family politics can’t influence your elopement

An elopement might be a simpler safer option if you feel that family arguments will impact negatively on your wedding day. Being aware and concerned about the prospect of an incident is enough of a warning.

If you have a family dynamic which could make your wedding day stressful you might want to seriously consider eloping and then include everyone after in a big reception party.

How to keep family and friends happy when eloping

Run away and have your elopement but plan to come back and throw a reception party afterwards that includes all of your friends and family.

Including your parents, family and friends

You can plan your elopement exactly how you want it to be, so, if you’d love to include your parents and besties then do it. You can have a beautiful ceremony, some fun pics and then go out for dinner together to celebrate.

Private chef to cook for you at your accommodation

A really lovely idea is to book a chef to come and cook for you and your guests where you are staying. Plan for your chef to arrive shortly after sunset, when you will be back from getting photos done. You can relax with a glass of bubbles and enjoy the experience of having a professional chef cook for you.

Hire a professional elopement photographer

Every bride and groom tells me that they cannot believe how fast their wedding day went and that it is a total blur. Well, if you think an elopement is commonly two hours long, you can see that it’s going to be really valuable to have professional photos for you to recall what it was like.

You still have the emotions of the day, the joy, the laughter and the love to capture in photographs. Wonderful memories for you and one day for your children to flick through and see what it was like the day mummy and daddy got hitched.

Teaser photos to announce your marriage online

I can prioritise editing your elopement photos for you so you have them the next day, I can upload them to an online website gallery that you can then share the link to friends and family via social media.
