All of these beaches are located just twenty minutes drive from Margaret River, you can book your accommodation in Margaret River town, Gnarabup, Prevelly, or anywhere in between is fantastic.

3. Margaret River Elopement at River Mouth Beach

A stunning beach where dramatic granite rocks meet the Indian Ocean. The Margaret River main surf break is just around the corner to the south. This beach is where Margaret River meets the ocean. A long stretch of white sandy beach leads your eye to the north with headlands framing the surrounding landscape. Perfect for photos.

The great thing about Margaret River mouth beach is that there are also spots to have your ceremony a short five minute walk up the river. This could be a handy plan b option if the wind is not playing ball and you need to find another sheltered area.

This beach is just fifteen minutes by car from town, making it super convenient. There is plenty of parking and toilets.

4. Margaret River Elopement at Redgate Beach

An insanely beautiful beach for photos, located just thirteen minutes drive from Margaret River town. If you want the sand beneath your feet there are some cute little beaches on the way down to the main beach. The main beach is super long and can be busy with surfers etc so I wouldn’t recommend that.

I really love this spot close to the carpark. Super easy to get to and you can stand on the beautiful rock with the view behind you. There are tons of awesome spots for pics close by as well.

I love the dramatic rocks and creating epic landscape pics at Redgate. This photo would look really good as a large wall piece.

You might have some close mates with you and we can go to some different spots for pics, again, they are all super close by so it’s nice and easy and convenient for you.

Sunsets at Redgate beach are spectacular, the weather doesn’t always play ball but even a cloudy day looks awesome here

5. Margaret River Elopement at Kilcarnup Beach

This is for those couples that love an adventure, it’s close to town but you do need to use a 4WD track to get to this hidden gem. Just seventeen minutes drive from town to Kilcarnup beach according to Google maps, which is pretty decent.

Kilcarnup has gorgeous white sandy beaches as well as epic rocks to frame your photos. It’s literally a photographers dream location. This elopement was photographed in the middle of the day, not perfect timing, I’d prefer the last hour of light but as you can see it’s still stunning.

6. Margaret River Elopement - Gracetown Beach

Gracetown beach is seventeen minutes drive from Margaret River. There are some very cool rocky landscape areas that I love for wedding pics and a number of sandy beaches to choose from. Some are tucked away and very private.

The jetty is a great feature to utilise for pics. I have only photographed at the northern end of Gracetown beach but there are some cracking spots on the southern end I want to try out for sure.

7. Margaret River Elopement - Black Brewing Co

Black Brewing Co is a stunning wedding venue in Margaret River and I can organise your elopement there midweek - Monday to Thursday. You get access to their epic gardens for photos after and we can also arrange for the bar to be open for you to celebrate

There are literally tons of really nice backdrops for pics at Black Brewing Co, a mix of interesting modern architecture and perfect garden scenes, plus it has the vineyards as well. Black Brewing Co is just twenty three minutes drive from town.

There is a pretty bridge that takes you over to the gardens and the large dam with a deck for your ceremony.

The sections of water are framed by boardwalks and beautiful stonework walls that reflect in the waters surface. This place is so photogenic it’s crazy and everything is super close so you are not having to walk for ages between shots.

8. Margaret River Elopement at Margaret River Waterfall

Just ten minutes from town, Margaret River winds it’s way some pretty sections of forest. Some areas suit small groups and some larger. I have an extensive knowledge of the river and the various locations.

Easy access, parking and safe foot paths are what I look for. That way I can relax knowing your experience is going to be enjoyable and stress free.

This location is perfect in winter and spring. I choose some other spots for summer that are super pretty but don’t rely on there being water flowing.

This is a great alternative location to Boranup forest, if you love the outdoors feel and natural forest vibe, Margaret River has tons of it.

9. Margaret River Elopement - Voyager Estate

Voyager Estate is located ten minutes from Margaret River town. You can have your elopement ceremony and use of their stunning gardens for a small fee if you book lunch there afterwards.

So, you could book your ceremony for 10:30am and be ready for lunch by 12:15pm and I would have taken heaps of epic pics for you in the vineyard, forest and gorgeous rose gardens.

This is one of the ceremony spots, this pic is from a large wedding and the flower budget was up there as you can see. But I can supply an arbour with flowers to match your bouquet for you and some other cool things to make your ceremony pretty and comfortable.

Surrounded by south west forest there is always some pretty natural light to go and find for pics

10. Margaret River Elopement - Tanah Marah

Tanah Marah is ten minutes from town and also has it’s own rammed earth chalet accommodation on site. This property has some beautiful Karri tree forest, kind of like a mini Boranup forest.

Don’t worry you don’t have to climb the tree for photos, there are tons of other awesome spots for pics. Everything is close by which is what I look for in a venue, I can only imagine how tiring it is walking heaps in high heels. Tanah march have made a sealed pathway through the forest so it’s super easy.

The forest is really pretty with bridges, water and a rainforest vibe that is super lush and green for photo.

11. Margaret River Elopement - Private Property

If you want your elopement to super laid back and easy, you can elope at your accommodation. This property is ten minutes from Margaret River and it would be absolutely amazing for a wedding. These photos are of the getting ready stage and the ceremony was elsewhere but I was really impressed by the gardens.

So, you would have to request permission from the property owners and stress that it is an elopement and not a large group or a party. You may need to contact a few property owners to get the one you want and agreement to hold an elopement ceremony but it’s a great option.

I can organise for a local private chef to come and cook for you and your guests or you can hit the town and visit one of the many awesome restaurants in Margaret River.

There are also some beautiful beachside properties on AirBnB or Exclusive Escapes. If you are getting married May-October it would be a good idea to book a property with a nice outdoor covered area just incase it rains.

12. Margaret River Elopement - Xanadu Winery

Xanadu Winery is just eight minutes drive from Margaret River town. It has beautiful vineyards for pics just across from their restaurant and cellar door. I have photographed some big wedding here and also some smaller intimate ones and elopements.

There is a quadrangle which is nice and sheltered with a beautiful tree tunnel which I love for photos. Ceremonies can be held in here or out on the lawn beneath some giant gum trees and with the vineyard in the background.
