Real Masseria Weddings: Two Days That Showcase the Venue’s Versatility
Kerne and Sian — Long Lunch Format, March 2026
Kerne and Sian came to me wanting something different: a Masseria wedding with the ceremony at 11am, a shared Italian lunch, and golden hour portraits in the late afternoon. The lunchtime format worked beautifully for Masseria’s Italian soul.
Their 11am ceremony flowed into canapés and champagne on the lawn, followed by family and bridal portraits around the arbour and rose garden. By 12:45pm guests were seated at the long lunch table, where Kerne and Sian did a joint thank-you speech and passed personalised notes down the table. The result was pure gold for candid guest photography.
The lunch stretched through entrées, speeches from the Father of the Bride and Best Man, a shared Italian menu, and finished with their signature “Tiramisu Scoop” using an engraved wedding spoon. Guests departed by bus at 4pm.
Then came the second act. Kerne and Sian stayed on at Masseria for private golden hour portraits in the rose garden, vineyard rows, olive grove, and down by the lake. We even captured a few shots at the lock on the Masseria fence that holds special meaning for them. From there we drove to Injidup Natural Spa for cliff-edge coastal portraits in the late afternoon light, then back home for a quiet session with Walley, their dog.

Holly and Lawrence chose a classic Masseria wedding format with an afternoon ceremony and evening reception. Their November date landed in prime Margaret River spring weather with gardens in full bloom.
The day started with bridal party preparations in matching PJs, followed by groomsmen getting ready at Masseria with buttonholes being pinned on. Their 3:30pm ceremony in the garden featured a petal toss and group portraits straight after.
