I hear from hundreds of couples that are apprehensive about being in front of the camera. Some go as far to say they hate being photographed whilst others express a desire to avoid staged generic wedding photography.
Luckily for me and you I am passionate about natural wedding photography, photographing genuine moments throughout your wedding day as they happen without direction or posing people.
I believe that people look amazing when they are happy and relaxed, being themselves and enjoying their experience.
My couples have no concerns about photography on their wedding day, everything has been planned and timed out so your wedding day flows naturally.
This allows you to be present and relaxed with your friends and family knowing that when I need you for photos I will ask and then direct proceedings.
Even when I do direct photos, I do it in a way that never feels staged or awkward, in fact I often create moments with the bridal party that are spontaneous and fun which result in more natural happy photos.
This style of wedding photography is also called documentary wedding photography, photojournalistic wedding photography or reportage wedding photography.
Engagement Photography or Pre Wedding Photography Sessions.
Highly advisable if you or your partner are apprehensive about being photographed on your wedding day. I have had so many engagement sessions where I have been pre warned that one or both of the people hate being photographed but after the session they have been excitedly surprised “how easy it was” and “that was really fun”.
I do empathise with that dread of being in front of the camera, so I think about how could I remove that feeling, I ask myself what makes people feel like that. Over twenty years of experience in photographing weddings and engagement portraits I have refined my people skills to an exact science that makes people feel totally at ease and enjoy bring photographed.
